Recreation

There is much to do in Punta Gorda and Charlotte County! And even more opportunities within an easy drive on Florida's southwest coast.

Did you know Charlotte Harbor is an estuary? The confluence of the Peace River and Myakka River into the Harbor form a habitat perfect as a "fish nursery." The area teems with marine wildlife. It also affords fantastic boating, kayaking and fishing.

Other outside activities include tennis (on our professionally designed courts), golf, miles of walking and bicycle trails,  outdoor festivals and entertainment, farmers markets, and more. The Punta Gorda Airport still houses local aircraft and offers charters.

The area supports a symphony, choir and many smaller musical organizations, as well as fine arts studios, galleries and shops. Visit small, local museums and those larger and reknown a short drive from Vivante.

Ask about all the restaurants, spas, beaches, shopping, nightclubs and more.

To learn more information, visit the Vivante office as well as the Punta Gorda Chamber office in downtown Punta Gorda. Harbor Style magazine can also give you area information.
